Original Article: Biomedtrics Releases ditto Glucose Data System for Bridging Glucometers with Smartphones.

Bay Area-based Biomedtrics has released the ditto Glucose Data System, a device designed to transmit blood glucose data from certain FDA approved glucometers to Android mobile devices with the ditto Glucose Logbook Mobile app installed. The app then automatically syncs with Biomedtrics’ cloud-based platform, called mydittolife, for storage and tracking. It also provides patients the opportunity to easily share historical data with their physicians to help with treatment options.

Using traditional glucose meters, patients either had to manually track their blood glucose numbers or plug their meter directly into a PC to upload the data. The process of manually tracking glucose levels can be such a hassle that it acts as a deterrent to testing altogether. ditto removes the inconvenience, and can help promote continuous monitoring by the patient.

Compatible glucose meters include:

  • Bayer CONTOUR
  • FreeStyle Freedom Lite
  • FreeStyle Lite
  • FreeStyle
  • GLUCOCARD
  • OneTouch Ultra
  • OneTouch UltraMini
  • OneTouch Profile
  • ReliOn Confirm

The ditto Glucose Data System, including the Bluetooth device, app, and access to the secure website, is currently available on Amazon and Google Play for $129.
